What does VE actually do?
You pick a short clip you already filmed, describe the change you want in plain words (or tap a template), and an AI model re-renders the whole shot — a new style, a new background, or a whole new scene.
It is not a timeline editor. It does not cut or join clips, and it does not add captions or music.
Why does it only accept 3–5 second clips?
The AI model re-renders every frame, which is expensive and slow. Capping the clip at 5 seconds keeps a render down to a few minutes and keeps the credit cost per render reasonable. If your clip is longer, trim it in the App before rendering.
My render is taking a long time
Rendering happens on remote servers, not on your iPhone, so it needs a working internet connection. A few minutes is normal, and it can take longer when the service is busy. You can leave the screen — the task keeps running and appears in your task list when it is done.
The render failed. Did I lose my credits?
No. When a render fails, the credits spent on it are returned to your balance automatically. If you see a failure where the credits did not come back, email us with roughly when it happened and we will sort it out.
The result does not match what I asked for
Results are AI-generated and vary between runs — the same prompt can give a different result the second time. A few things that help:
- Describe one change, not five. "Make it snowy winter" works better than a paragraph.
- Say what should stay the same: "keep the person's face and clothing unchanged".
- Start from a clip with a clear, well-lit subject and little camera movement.
- If a prompt is not landing, try one of the built-in templates and adjust from there.
What happens to the video I upload?
The clip you pick (and the reference photo, if you added one) is uploaded over HTTPS to our AI processing provider so the model can render it, and is used only to produce your result. We do not keep a copy on our own servers and we do not use your uploads to train models. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Open the Settings app, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, and choose VE. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends to avoid the next charge. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
How do I restore a purchase?
Open the App's settings and tap Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with. Consumable credit packs are used up as you render and are not restored; subscriptions and the one-time unlock are.
Which languages is the App in?
The interface is available in 14 languages: English, Arabic, German, Spanish, French, Hebrew, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), Russian, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. Arabic and Hebrew are laid out right-to-left. The App follows your iPhone's language setting; if your language is not on the list, it opens in English.
