Privacy Policy
1. Who We Are
This policy explains how VE ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") handles information. It applies to the VE iOS app distributed on the Apple App Store.
2. What the App Does
You pick a 3–5 second clip from your photo library, optionally add one reference photo, and describe the change you want. The App sends those files and your text prompt to an AI model, which renders a new version of the clip and sends it back.
Rendering does not happen on your iPhone. It requires an internet connection.
3. Your Videos and Photos
This is the most important part of this policy, so we will be specific.
- What leaves your device: only the clip you selected, the reference photo you added (if any), and the text prompt you typed. Nothing else from your photo library is read or uploaded.
- Where it goes: to Replicate, a US-based AI model hosting provider, which runs the Kling video model on its servers. Files are transmitted over HTTPS.
- What it is used for: producing your result, and nothing else. We do not use your uploads to train models, and we do not publish, share or sell them.
- How long it is kept: uploaded files and generated results are held by Replicate only as long as needed to run and return the job, subject to Replicate's own retention practices. We do not keep a copy of your videos or photos on any server of ours.
- On your device: your task history, including the clips you generated, is stored locally on your iPhone. Deleting a task, or deleting the App, removes it.
Please do not upload material you would not want processed by a third-party service, including other people's images used without their agreement.
4. Photo Library Access
The App asks for photo library access so you can choose the clip or photo you want to process. It reads only the items you select. It does not scan, index or upload your library, and it does not use the camera, the microphone or your location.
Saving a finished clip back to Photos uses the system save flow.
5. Purchases and Credits
Subscriptions and one-time purchases are handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We never see your payment details. The App stores your credit balance and entitlement status locally so it knows what you have unlocked.
6. Analytics and Diagnostics
The App includes the following third-party components:
- Umeng (UMCommon, UMDevice) — aggregate usage analytics. It collects a generated device identifier and basic device and app information (model, OS version, app version, language, region). See Umeng's privacy policy.
- Firebase Remote Config — used to change App settings remotely. It sends a Firebase installation identifier and basic device information. See Firebase's privacy information.
- WishKit — used only if you open the feature-request screen and submit a suggestion. What you type there is sent to WishKit.
None of these components receive your videos, your photos or your prompts.
7. What We Do Not Collect
- No account, sign-up, email address or phone number.
- No advertising, no ad SDKs, no IDFA, and no App Tracking Transparency prompt — because we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- No contacts, no location, no health data, no microphone, no camera.
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
8. Your Choices
You can revoke photo library access at any time in the Settings app. Deleting the App removes the locally stored task history and credit state from your device. For questions about data held by Replicate, Umeng, Firebase or WishKit, contact us and we will help you direct the request.
9. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
