Open a PDF, tap Edit, pick an instruction (Polish, Fix Grammar, Make Formal…) or type your own, then tap Apply. SmartPDF edits the actual PDF file — layout, fonts, and images are preserved — and the result replaces the document in your library. An edit usually takes 30–90 seconds.
Tap Translate in the reader, choose any of 55 target languages, and tap Done. The current page — including scanned pages — is translated and shown side by side with the original.
Each subscription tier includes a weekly allowance of AI pages (Basic 100 · Plus 300 · Pro 1,000). An AI edit uses the document's page count; importing a document also counts its pages. Allowances reset every Monday and unused pages don't roll over.
Subscriptions are billed by Apple. Open Settings app → [your name] → Subscriptions → SmartPDF to change plans or cancel. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
In SmartPDF go to Settings → Restore Purchase while signed in with the Apple Account that made the purchase.
Documents stay on your device. Only when you explicitly run an AI action is the needed content sent to our AI provider over HTTPS, and uploads made for editing are deleted right after the edit completes. Details in our Privacy Policy.
