RetroMend is an AI photo app that restores, repairs, colorizes, sharpens and enhances old or damaged photos. This policy explains what the app processes and how your photos are handled.
RetroMend lets you pick an old, blurry, scratched, faded, or black-and-white photo and uses AI models to repair damage, restore and enhance faces, colorize black-and-white images, unblur and upscale to higher resolution, and optionally animate a portrait. The restored result is returned to your device, where you can save or share it.

We do not require your real name, email address, phone number, or an account to use the app. We do not access your full photo library — only the images you specifically pick.
We do not sell your photos or personal information, and we do not use your photos to train our own models for unrelated purposes.
Photo restoration is performed by AI models hosted on third-party cloud infrastructure (including model-hosting providers such as Replicate). When you request a restoration, the selected image and the parameters needed for that request are transmitted over an encrypted connection to the processing service, which returns the result. Images are processed to fulfill your request and are not used to identify you.

Restored results and app preferences may be stored locally on your device, and you can save results to your photo library at your choice. Images sent for processing are handled transiently to complete your request and are not retained by us for advertising or profiling. Local data is removed when you delete the app or clear its data.

Because the app works without an account, the simplest way to remove app-stored data is to delete the app. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information; contact us and we will respond as required by applicable law.
We use reasonable technical measures, including encrypted transmission, to protect data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
