Privacy Policy
1. Who We Are
This policy explains how Voxmera (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information. It applies to the Voxmera iOS app distributed on the Apple App Store, published by LIE KUN JI.
Contact: feedback@globalpixelstudio.com
2. What the App Does
Voxmera helps you take better photos. While you frame a shot, an AI voice coach tells you out loud how to adjust the angle, distance, pose and light. You can talk back and ask questions. When the shot looks right, the App counts down and takes the photo, or you can press the shutter yourself.
3. Data We Do Not Collect
- No user accounts. The App works without registration of any kind.
- No contacts, location, health data, messages or browsing data.
- No third-party advertising SDKs, no advertising identifier (IDFA) and no cross-app tracking.
- We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with data brokers.
4. Camera
The live camera preview is shown on your device. Only while the voice coach is active, the App takes a small, downscaled still image from the preview about every two seconds and sends it over an encrypted connection to OpenAI, which analyses framing, distance, pose and light and returns a short suggestion. When you ask the coach a question, the most recent still image may be sent together with your question so the coach can answer about the current shot.
These images are used only to generate guidance for that moment. The App does not save them and does not send them to any server of ours. Please do not point the coach at documents, screens or anything else containing personal information you do not want processed.
If the online coach cannot be reached (for example without an internet connection), the App switches to a built-in offline coach that analyses the preview on your device with Apple’s Vision framework and plays pre-recorded voice tips. In this mode no camera images or audio leave your device.
5. Microphone and Voice
Only while the voice coach is active, audio from your microphone is streamed over an encrypted connection to OpenAI’s real-time voice service so the coach can hear you and reply. The coach’s spoken replies are streamed back and played on your device. Text captions of the conversation are shown on screen and kept in memory only for the current session; a short excerpt of what you just said may be sent back to OpenAI together with an image when you ask the coach a question.
The App does not record, store or upload audio or transcripts to any server of ours. When you stop the coach, close the camera or leave the App, streaming stops.
6. How OpenAI Handles This Data
OpenAI acts as our service provider for the AI features and processes camera images, audio and short text excerpts under its API terms. Under those terms, data sent through the API is not used to train OpenAI’s models by default, and it may be retained by OpenAI for a limited period (currently up to 30 days) to detect abuse before being deleted. See openai.com/policies/privacy-policy for details. OpenAI may process data in the United States and other countries.
7. Your Photos
Photos you take are kept in the App’s memory for the current session. They are written to your Photos library only when you choose to save them, using add-only access, and they are shared only when you choose to share them. If you open a picture from your library inside the App, it is only displayed on your device. The photos you take are never uploaded by the App.
8. Purchases and Voice-Minute Balance
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. We never see your payment details. The App receives only the standard transaction information Apple provides so it can unlock your plan. Your remaining free and paid voice minutes are counted on your device.
9. Analytics and Diagnostics
To understand how the App is used and to keep it working well, the App records basic usage events, for example which onboarding screens were viewed, the answers to optional onboarding questions (such as how you heard about us), whether a coaching session started or ended and for how long, whether a photo was taken, and purchase-funnel steps. These events do not contain camera images, audio, transcripts or photos.
These events are sent to two analytics services, Google Firebase Analytics and Umeng (U-App), together with basic device information such as device model, OS version, app version, language/region, an app-instance identifier and a per-vendor device identifier (IDFV). The App does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. This data is used in aggregate and not to identify you personally. Firebase processes data in accordance with Google’s terms (firebase.google.com/support/privacy); Umeng in accordance with its privacy policy (umeng.com/page/policy).
The App also uses Google Firebase Remote Config to load settings such as paywall options. This request includes an app-instance identifier and basic device information, and no personal content.
If you have opted in to sharing analytics with app developers in iOS settings, Apple may also provide us with aggregated, anonymised crash and usage statistics.
10. Feedback Board
Settings includes a feature-request board provided by WishKit. If you open it, you can read, submit and vote on feature requests. The text you submit and your votes are sent to WishKit (wishkit.io), which hosts the board; WishKit tells votes apart with a random identifier created in the App. The App does not ask for your name or email address there. Please do not include personal information in a request.
11. Notifications
The App may ask for permission to send notifications, such as occasional reminders. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings. No personal data is sent anywhere for notifications.
12. Data Retention and Deletion
We do not operate servers that store your content. Session photos and captions are discarded when the session ends or the App is closed; settings and your minute balance stay in the App’s storage on your device until you delete the App. Data processed by OpenAI, Firebase, Umeng and WishKit is retained according to their policies described above.
13. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data. Because we do not hold accounts or personal content on our own servers, most data can be removed simply by deleting the App. For any request, or for questions about data processed by our providers on our behalf, email us at the address below.
14. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the App in a way that concerns you, contact us and we will help.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
