Privacy Policy
1. Who We Are
This policy explains how PicKeeper: Photo Cleaner ("PicKeeper", "the App", "we", "us", or "our") handles information. It applies to the PicKeeper iOS app distributed on the Apple App Store.

2. Your Photos Never Leave Your Device
PicKeeper requests access to your photo library so it can analyze your photos on your device. This analysis includes detecting duplicate and similar images, scoring image quality to pick the best shot in a burst, reading text inside screenshots, and matching photos to a phrase you type in search.
All of this runs locally on your iPhone. We do not upload, transmit, collect, view, store, sell, or share your photos, videos, thumbnails, the text recognized inside your screenshots, or the search phrases you type. We operate no server that receives photo data, and we have no technical ability to access your photo library.
The machine-learning models used for analysis are bundled inside the App or provided by iOS itself. PicKeeper works with the network turned off; only the optional place-name lookup and analytics described below require connectivity.
3. Information We Actually Collect

We never attach photo content, file names, album names, recognized screenshot text, or search queries to any analytics event.
4. What We Do Not Collect
- No photos, videos, or thumbnails.
- No text extracted from your screenshots.
- No search phrases you type into PicKeeper.
- No user accounts, email addresses, passwords, phone numbers, or contacts.
- No precise location tracking, and no background location access.
- No advertising identifier (IDFA). PicKeeper does not show ads and does not run an ad network.
- No selling or renting of personal information to anyone, ever.
5. Service Providers
PicKeeper uses a small number of third-party services, none of which receive your photos:
- Google Firebase Analytics — anonymous app-usage and crash statistics. We use the build that excludes advertising-identifier support. See Firebase privacy information.
- Umeng (Youmeng, part of Alibaba) — aggregate app-usage statistics. See Umeng privacy policy.
- Apple — App Store distribution, in-app purchases, on-device machine-learning frameworks, and the optional geocoding lookup described above. See Apple's privacy policy.
These providers process data under their own privacy policies. We do not authorize them to receive photo content, and PicKeeper does not send them any.
6. Data Stored on Your Device
PicKeeper keeps an index of your library on the device — for each photo, things like a compact fingerprint, a quality score, whether it is a screenshot, any text recognized inside it, and its date and coordinates. It also keeps a Recycle Bin list of items you staged for deletion. This index exists only on your iPhone, is covered by iOS device encryption, and is never transmitted.
Deleting PicKeeper removes this index and the Recycle Bin list from your device. Photos that were already permanently deleted through iOS cannot be restored by reinstalling the App.
7. Data Retention
On-device index data persists until you delete the App or clear it in the App. Anonymous analytics are retained by our analytics providers according to their standard retention windows, typically no longer than 14 months for event-level data.
8. Children
PicKeeper is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will address it.
9. Your Rights
Depending on where you live — including under the EU/UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and similar laws — you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of personal information, and to object to processing or withdraw consent.
Because PicKeeper has no accounts and collects no directly identifying information, we usually hold nothing that identifies you personally. You can nevertheless:
- Revoke photo access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos.
- Limit analytics by turning off "Share iPhone Analytics" and "Personalized Ads" in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.
- Delete the App to remove all on-device data.
- Email feedback@globalpixelstudio.com to make a request. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
10. International Transfers
Our analytics providers may process anonymous usage data on servers outside your country, including in the United States and mainland China (Umeng). Where required, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers.
11. Security
Because photo analysis never leaves your device, the main protection for your photos is your device itself. We rely on iOS sandboxing and device encryption. Keep your device updated and protected with a passcode or Face ID. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of the limited data we do collect.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notice within the App.
