TwinSolve: Math Solver & Steps

Effective date: September 8, 2026

Short version: TwinSolve solves the math problem you photograph or type. The picture (or text) is sent to our inference provider only to recognise and solve that problem — it is not stored by us and is never used to train any model. There are no accounts, your solve history stays on your iPhone, and we never sell your data.

1. Who We Are

This policy explains how TwinSolve ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") handles information. It applies to the TwinSolve iOS app distributed on the Apple App Store.

2. What the App Does

TwinSolve recognises a maths problem from a photo, a picture in your library, or text you type, and asks two artificial-intelligence models to solve it at the same time. Both solutions are shown side by side, step by step. When the two answers disagree, the App highlights the step where they diverge and can ask a third model to break the tie. Any step can be read aloud on your device.

3. Data We Do Not Collect

4. Camera and Photos

Camera access is requested only when you first tap the shutter inside the App. The image you capture, or the single photo you choose from your library, is transmitted over an encrypted connection to our inference provider, Replicate (replicate.com/privacy), which runs the AI models on our behalf. The image is used solely to recognise and solve that one problem. We do not keep a copy on our own servers, and neither we nor the provider use your images to train models.

Please do not photograph pages that contain personal information (names, ID numbers, addresses) — the App has no way to remove them from an image before it is processed.

5. Your Solve History

Problems you have solved, the model answers, and your votes on which explanation was clearer are stored in a file inside the App's own sandbox on your iPhone. They are not uploaded to us and are not backed up to any account we control. Deleting the App deletes this history. You can also clear individual items from the History tab.

6. Voice Explanations

Step-by-step narration uses Apple's on-device speech synthesiser. No audio is recorded, and the microphone is never used by this App.

7. Purchases

Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. We never see your payment details. We receive only the standard, non-identifying transaction information Apple provides so the App can unlock Pro features.

8. Analytics and Diagnostics

To understand how the App is used and to keep it working well, the App includes two analytics SDKs: Umeng (U-App) and Google Firebase Analytics. They record app-usage events (for example which screens are opened, whether a solve succeeded, and purchase-funnel steps) together with basic device information such as device model, OS version, app version, language/region, and a per-vendor device identifier (IDFV). The content of your problems and the model answers are not sent to these SDKs.

This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally. Umeng processes data in accordance with its privacy policy (umeng.com/page/policy); Firebase in accordance with Google's (firebase.google.com/support/privacy).

Additionally, if you have opted in to sharing analytics with app developers in iOS settings, Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymised crash and usage statistics.

9. Accuracy of AI Answers

TwinSolve is a study aid. AI models can be wrong, even when both of them agree. Always check the working before relying on an answer, and follow your school's or institution's rules on the use of AI assistance.

10. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Students under the age of digital consent in their country should use the App with a parent's or guardian's permission.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
